The Problem
A late cancellation is a small event with an outsized cost. The visit revenue is gone, the provider's hour is gone, and the patient three weeks down the waitlist never hears that a slot opened at all.

Most clinics handle this the same way: someone at the front desk starts calling. It works occasionally, it costs staff time every time, and it depends entirely on who's on the phone that afternoon. Meanwhile the tools clinics already pay for are built to remind patients about appointments they still intend to keep, which does nothing once a cancellation comes through.

We built it to work without an EHR integration on purpose. Clinics shouldn't have to complete an IT project before they can recover revenue they're already losing, and deeper integration stays on the table as a clinic's needs grow.

Justin Miller holds an MBA from Villanova University specializing in Finance and Strategic Management, with an undergraduate background in biochemistry and computational research. He leads business strategy, finance, and partnerships at Carexis, applying data-driven and systems-level thinking to healthcare access and clinic performance.
Chris Mckinnon
Technology Lead
Christopher McKinnon II is a computer engineering graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and  a Test Design Engineer. He leads engineering and technical architecture at Carexis, bringing a systems reliability orientation to how the platform is built.
